KEY POINTS:
Silver Ferns captain Adine Wilson played last week's world netball championship while she was three months pregnant.
Wilson is married to former All Blacks wing Jeff Wilson, who was at the final, won 42-38 by Australia over New Zealand.
She played a big part in the eight-day tournament, taking the court in all the Silver Ferns' matches at wing attack.
It is understood Wilson, 28, is about 14 weeks pregnant, and told her teammates yesterday.
Silver Ferns management could not be reached for comment.
While Silver Ferns coach Ruth Aitken fronted up to media after the world final loss, Wilson was notable for her absence.
She also did not attend print media conferences during the week.
Wilson has been in the Silver Ferns team since making the squad as a 20-year-old in 1999 and has captained the team since 2005.
She led the Silver Ferns to a Commonwealth Games gold medal in Melbourne last year, when New Zealand beat Australia 60-55 in the final.
