Mystery Creek in Hamilton has been transformed back into a netball arena after the recent Fieldays, with the straw and sheep droppings swept away and the venue all set to host a record National Bank Cup crowd tonight of around five thousand fans.
Magic CEO Sheryl Dawson says Creek officials have done a wonderful job in turning it into a netball court and seated stadium.
Mystery Creek will host the largest ever National Bank Cup crowd when the Sting meets the Magic, with Dawson pointing out that they have even catered for over 300 Sting supporters to make the trip up from the deep south.
Dawson says they will have the Sting zone in the crowd as well as a supporters section behind their bench.
She says they will have their sections to cheer from just like the home side, although obviously with less of a voice!
The Magic will be looking for their fifth consecutive win over the Sting and back to back championships.
Dawson is under no illusion as to how difficult the Sting will be to defeat, as the southerners will be out for revenge following their own home court defeat in last year's final.
She says the return of veteran Donna Loffhagen will also motivate the Sting and intensify the contest, as Loffhagen is a tough and uncompromising player who gets the business done and always gives the Sting a boost.
