The Southern Steel are eyeing another back-to-back title after securing their second win in the Super Club Netball Competition.
The Southerners continued their victory-run over the Mainland Tactix with a 66-51 win in the final match of the night at Nelson's Trafalgar Centre.
With a disciplined game plan, the Steel took an early lead to out-class their Southern rivals. Super shooter Jen O'Connell was in sublime form under the hoop while Te Huinga Reo Selby-Rickit kept her solid defence force in line.
The Tactix remained in contention for the first two quarters with Erikana Pedersen working in unison with the speedy Kimiora Poi throughout the midcourt.
But as the ANZ Premiership champions confidently found their rhythm in the second half, the Tactix slowly fell behind with hesitant and careless play.
