The Southern Steel dominated the Northern Mystics at Trusts Arena today to claim their second win of the ANZ Premiership season.
The defending champions outscored their Northern rivals in all four quarters to win 67-48, with Lenize Potgieter converting on 48 of her 53 attempts at goal and Te Paea Selby-Rickit adding 14 goals of her own.
The Steel have again emerged as the team to beat on the back of two strong performances.
Despite losing their season opener, they've outscored opponents by 37 goals. The signs were ominous for the Mystics early, with the Steel racing out to a five-goal lead in just over four minutes of the match.
Bailey Mes responded with five goals on the trot to level the scores at 10, but by the end of the quarter the Steel had opened the gap back out to four goals.
