The Silver Ferns beat England 69-47 in the third and final test at Mystery Creek, in Hamilton, to complete a 3-0 clean sweep of the series.
Playing like a team who knew their next opponents were the world champions Australia, New Zealand won the first three quarters 18-8, 19-10 and 20-11.
With the exception of England's fourth quarter revival which saw the visitors take the quarter 18-12, the play in each quarter followed a pattern.
England would match New Zealand goal for goal in the first five minutes before being let down as the quarter progressed by poor shooting and defensive play that gave too many penalties to the home side.
Unlike her English counterparts, who made less than 50 per cent of their attempts at goal, Kiwi goal attack Donna Loffhagen kept her shooting accuracy above 90 per cent for the entire game.
And with Loffhagen teamed with a no-less-accurate Irene van Dyk in the first half, the circle was the scene of some spectacular netball as the pair, clearly in-sync, capitalised on the frequent English penalties.
The fourth quarter represented something of an English renaissance.
It was as if the visitors had waited until the final quarter of the final game in the series to show some form.
They stormed through to win the quarter increasing their quarter-lead from two goals to six in the final four minutes.
They only lost the second half by three goals at 32-29.
Much of the credit for England's late run should go to defender Amanda Newton, whose tireless persistence brought her three great intercepts.
New Zealand averaged almost twice as many intercepts in the second half – even with Newton's strong finish.
The Ferns also outstripped the English on rebounds at both ends.
