Silver Ferns skipper Julie Seymour will also captain the Tactix in this year's transasman netball league beginning early next month.
Coach Helen Mahon-Stroud said Seymour's experience made her an obvious choice.
"Julie is the complete netball athlete, physically and mentally. Her knowledge, experience and determination have been invaluable within the Tactix environment," Mahon-Stroud said.
"She has the ability to not only lead the side, but challenge them to strive for excellence. Her cool head under pressure is also vital to succeeding in such a tough competition.
Since first making the Silver Ferns in 1994, Seymour has amassed 92 caps for New Zealand, and was handed the captaincy in mid-2008.
Current Silver Fern mid-courter Maree Bowden has been named as Tactix vice-captain.
Mahon-Stroud said the additions of England co-captain Sonia Mkoloma and former Rebels captain and Silver Fern Angela Mitchell had further strengthened her squad.
The Tactix begin their campaign against defending champions NZS Swifts on April 6. The ANZ Championship begins on April 4 when the Steel take on the Pulse in Invercargill, and comprises 14 rounds of pool play before the final series begins on July 11.
