Has there ever been a more universally celebrated win in netball than the Central Pulse's one-goal victory over the NSW Swifts last weekend?
Having battled through nearly two seasons of the ANZ Championship with no return, it seems few could begrudge the Pulse breaking their 24-game losing streak in round 13.
Even the NSW Swifts, who earned the unenviable mantle of being the first side to lose to the Pulse, couldn't help but be a wee bit pleased for the struggling franchise.
"It was extremely disheartening," Swifts captain Catherine Cox told the Otago Daily Times.
"The only good thing to come of it was how thrilled they were. That was a touching moment for me because I know how tough it has been," she said.
