KEY POINTS:
Australia coach Norma Plummer is unfazed by her side's unusually low shooting percentage in their semifinal win over England at the Netball World Championships.
Australia overpowered England 51 - 33 in Auckland tonight, despite shooters Sharelle McMahon and Catherine Cox having an off night.
A tight lipped Norma Plummer told her team at halftime that they would need to take every opportunity that came their way and not give an inch.
"I had some fantastic kids out on the court tonight," Plummer said.
She said the team stuck to their guns and the pressure won out in the end.
When asked what she made of the shooting statistics, Plummer said she had no idea.
"Who gives a damn because we've just won," Plummer said.
And when asked if the game against England had sapped the Aussies' energy, Plummer retorted that New Zealand had not gotten over their last game either.
"Don't under estimate an Aussie, we've worked hard for this," she said.
She said the Australians know the Silver Fern team and are ready for them.
Captain Liz Ellis said England put the defensive pressure on and after building on the lead in the second quarter, the team knew they were in the clear.
"In attack everyone backed up. We're not the sort of team that relies on one player," Ellis said.
She said the final will be consistent netball, regardless if it is New Zealand or Jamaica.
England coach Margaret Caldow said the team was disappointed but they would get over it.
She said England started well but couldn't penetrate the attack later on.
"They're strong and made it hard for England to get through the areas. I think our defence did a superb job and what let us down today was the attacking side of the game," Caldow said.
She said Australia were good but New Zealand can beat them and it was not sensible to underestimate Jamaica.
