Victoria Edward is the only new cap named in the Silver Ferns team for the tri-nations netball series against Australia and South Africa to be played in Australia next month.
The 24-year-old, who plays wing defence for the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic in the Coca-Cola Cup competition, joins a seasoned squad that includes shooter Donna Loffhagen.
Loffhagen took a spell from netball last year in order to compete with the New Zealand women's basketball team at the Sydney Olympics.
She fills the breach left by the pregnant Tania Dalton (nee Nicholson).
The Silver Ferns are:
Sheryl Clarke, Jenny-May Coffin, Belinda Colling, Vilimaina Davu, Victoria Edward, Temepara George, Adine Harper, Donna Loffhagen, Bernice Mene (captain), Lesley Nicol, Linda Vagana, Irene Van Dyk.
