Even if Silver Ferns netball coach Ruth Aitken came begging to Donna Loffhagen to fill the vacancy left by the pregnant Belinda Colling, the former Silver Fern would not heed the call.
Colling's withdrawal on Friday has left one shooting space available in the squad to play Australia, and a question mark over the World Championship squad.
Loffhagen made an appearance over the weekend for Southland in the opening games of the national championships, but says, at this stage, she has no desire to be a Silver Fern again.
Loffhagen has not played for New Zealand for four years, and says it would not be fair to give it a go as she has not played enough netball, and is not interested in the job.
Loffhagen is enjoying what she is doing at the moment, and is looking forward to a stint playing basketball in Canberra in the Australian League, starting in November.
From the nationals over the weekend, Canterbury and Auckland lead the way, unbeaten after three games each, with Canterbury upsetting North yesterday 51-42.
The championships resume next Monday in Auckland.
