New Zealand has been awarded the right to host the World Netball Series for a three year term, beginning in November 2012.
Netball New Zealand chief executive Raelene Castle said it's exciting for this country to have the opportunity to host another World event.
"FastNet will give the Australasian netball public a chance to enjoy this exciting and vibrant event first hand."
The World Netball Series is one of two official IFNA international competitions. It's a 'short-form' netball game known as FastNet, and is played as a round robin, over four days, by the top six nations in the world rankings.
FastNet is played with innovative rules including rolling substitutions, six-minute quarters, two-point shots from outside the circle, and power play quarters. The FastNet Ferns are currently defending their World Netball Series title in Liverpool.
