NEW ZEALAND 56 JAMAICA 37
New Zealand set up a final with old adversaries Australia after a surprisingly comprehensive 56-37 semifinal victory over Jamaica at the world netball championship today.
Down early New Zealand took more than 10 minutes of the first quarter of the match before they drew level with the Jamaicans.
But once in front the Silver Ferns drew away in the successive quarters.
The Silver Ferns led 13-11 at the end of the first quarter, 27-19 at the half and extended their lead to 42-14 by the close of the third quarter.
Jamaica fought back in the final quarter but were too far behind to place the New Zealand side under much pressure.
In the other semi-final Australia beat England to set up the final with New Zealand at 11.30am Monday (NZT).
