KEY POINTS:
Northern Mystics chief executive Mark Cameron has confirmed Silver Ferns shooter Paula Griffin will not be with the ANZ Championship team next season.
Preliminary squads for next season must be named tomorrow, with the final 12 settled by the end of the month.
Griffin has been linked to a move with the Central Pulse and while Cameron says he is not sure where Griffin is playing next year, it is certainly not in Auckland.
He says it is a shame as Griffin is Auckland born-and-bred but it is the nature of the professional environment.
Cameron says it is looking highly likely defender Leana de Bruin will also leave them - most likely to the Magic - although the door is still open for her to stay in Auckland.
Ferns defender Sheryl Scanlan has already signed with the Southern Steel.
Cameron says they have nine players contracted and are still in talks with a few others.
He says they are pretty happy with the squad but would like to add an experienced shooter and possibly a defender.
