After missing out on the ANZ Premiership trophy to the Southern Steel, the Central Pulse were fuelled by vengeance as they took down the national champions in the final match of the night in the Super Club Netball Competition.
The Wellington-based side toppled their Southern rivals 64-55 to book their spot in the grand final against the Mainland Tactix, who continued their best season in franchise history.
After a breakthrough third-place finish in the Premiership, the Tactix secured a spot in the Super Club final after defeating the New South Wales Institute of Sport 64-62.
They will have their work cut out for them in the finale against the Pulse, who overcame a slow start to surge ahead of the Steel.
Stellar shooting performances from Silver Ferns Aliyah Dunn and Ameliaranne Ekenasio alongside solid defensive efforts led by the formidable Karin Burger suddenly saw the Wellington-based side take control of the match.
