Netball legends duel on Sydney bridge

Netball legends Irene van Dyk and Liz Ellis joshed and duelled on their way to the top of the Sydney Harbour bridge today.

They agreed the Silver Ferns will play a speed game at the World Cup but were uncertain about that impact.

"On paper the Diamonds should walk away with this but the World Cup is not played on paper," Ellis said.

England had learned more about tourney play and Jamaica were lurking and ready to take the next step.

"Most teams will hold and shoot but the Silver Ferns are going to buck that trend----how well, we just don't know."

Van Dyk picked the same quartet to contest the title.

"We are unknown. In the last 10 years we had a static goal shoot and rolling goal attack and now we have changed, " she said.

"Whether we have had enough time together to get the combinations will be our issue."
