A health scare has ruled Northern Mystics shooter Cathrine Latu out of this weekend's ANZ Championship preseason tournament in Sydney.
The shooter took ill last Thursday and had emergency surgery to remove her appendix the following day. The Mystics issued a statement today advising Latu came through the procedure well, but will remain in Auckland to recovers.
The Mystics have their season launch in Auckland on Wednesday and fly to Sydney on Thursday morning.
The Summer Shootout, which is the ANZ Championship's pre-season tournament, runs Friday through Sunday.
