Former Silver Fern Jenny-May Clarkson has re-joined the Northern Mystics coaching ranks ahead of the 2016 ANZ Championship season.
Clarkson (nee Coffin) has stepped into the void left by Noeline Taurua, who took up the head coach job at the Steel at the end of last year. Clarkson will assume a specialist coaching role, focusing on the attack end of the court, renewing her partnership with Mystics coach Debbie Fuller.
The pair last coached the Mystics together in 2011, when the Auckland franchise secured their maiden grand final appearance.
Clarkson, who is expecting twins in April, will initially focus her contribution on the pre-season, with the possibility further coaching support may be added to the team at a later date.
The 26-test Silver Fern said her involvement with the team will be judged on a week-by-week basis, but she is confident she can make a meaningful contribution.
