The Northern Mystics have unveiled their first batch of signings for the new ANZ elite netball league, with star defender Anna Harrison headlining the group.
Harrison will be joined by two newcomers to the franchise after the Mystics lured two Auckland-bred players back to the region - Storm Purvis (Steel) and midcourter Samon Nathan (Pulse).
With Purvis today named among three new caps in the Silver Ferns line-up for the upcoming Quad Series, there will be a great deal of anticipation around the Mystics new defensive partnership.
Mystics chief executive Julie Paterson said she was delighted to announce the player signings as they looked ahead to the new league, which will kick off in April next year.
"We want to continue to build on our existing strengths. At the same time, now is the perfect opportunity to secure Auckland players who are committed to the Mystics, our fan base and netball community." Paterson said.
