KEY POINTS:
Australian defender Selina Gilsenan has been cleared of a serious ankle injury ahead of the netball world championship quarterfinals, starting tomorrow.
Gilsenan landed awkwardly on her left ankle during her team's 93-20 final pool match win over Scotland yesterday but x-rays today revealed no significant damage.
A team spokeswoman said it wasn't clear if Gilsenan would start in tomorrow's quarterfinal against the Cook Islands, but said she should be able to play in the rest of the tournament, if Australia progress as expected.
"It's an old injury, she's had precautionary x-rays last night and they've come up all clear and she is now resting in the hotel room," the spokeswoman said.
"So we're confident she'll be okay later in the tournament."
