The Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic, Capital Shakers and Otago Rebels revealed their National Bank Cup teams at the weekend.
The eight franchises are required to submit teams of up to 12 players to Netball New Zealand today however they have until February 14 to name their final lineup.
Magic coach Noeline Taurua has named 10 players leaving herself the option of picking up a further two if she chooses.
"We are just sort of seeing what comes out of the pool," Taurua said.
"If there is nothing there then we will just go with the 10.
"We are not looking overseas or anything."
Retained from last year are Silver Ferns Irene van Dyk, Amigene Metcalfe and Joline Henry with New Zealand under-21 players Laura Langman, Casey Williams and New Zealand A player Anna Senio.
New to the side are former Canterbury defender Karla Sutton, Bay of Plenty shooter Arahi Wall, midcourter Rebecca Gabel and former Magic development player Louise Moffat.
The Magic had a team building session over the weekend with former All Blacks coach John Mitchell.
They have always boasted strong teams but have never won the title in the competition's seven year history.
"We are very mindful of that.
"One of the things we said yesterday was no matter what sport -the teams that do win are the most deserving.
"When we look at the [Southern] Sting, like it or not they have been the most deserving.
"They are the most consistent throughout every campaign. We know what we have to do."
The Otago Rebels revealed three new players, New Zealand under-21 member Emma McGeorge, former Southland and Canterbury B representative Dana Bond and former Canterbury Flames player Chantelle Ngaia.
Capital Shakers also unveiled a reasonable line-up considering they were left in the lurch after Katie Ritchie and Megan Hutton decided to return to their original franchises the Rebels and Sting respectively.
An interesting inclusion in the Shakers side is up and coming shooter Bridgette Tapene who was unwanted by the Diamonds.
