Former Crusaders lock Steve Lancaster will take the reins of Netball New Zealand from today while the organisation continues its search for the next chief executive.
Netball New Zealand yesterday confirmed its transitional leadership arrangements, with Lancaster, the high performance director, and head of finance and services Jennie Wyllie, jointly appointed in a caretaker role following the departure of Hilary Poole.
Poole finished up with Netball NZ yesterday after three years with the organisation.
She announced her resignation to the board in February this year, but with Netball NZ at that time in the middle of delicate negotiations with their Australian counterparts over the future of the transtasman league, Poole agreed to stay on until the strategic direction had been set.
There will be plenty of pressing matters for the interim leadership to attend to.
