Australia Diamonds vice-captain Renae Ingles will miss tomorrow's second Constellation Cup test against the Silver Ferns after suffering a calf strain in Tuesday night's series opener.
The midcourter suffered the injury in her right calf midway through the second quarter in Christchurch.
"I'm obviously disappointed to miss a test match for Australia but I'll be the girls' biggest supporter on the sideline tomorrow night," Ingles said.
"After consultation with the medical and coaching staff, we felt it was in my best interest to
rest up and get myself right for the rest of the series."
The 50-44 victory over the Silver Ferns in the opening game of the four-test series was Ingles 11th consecutive start for the Diamonds this year, including every game at the Netball World Cup - the only Australian player to do so.
