The Magic will certainly disagree, but Melbourne Vixens defender Julie Corletto believes it is only fair that her side win the transtasman league title tomorrow.
While the Magic will argue New Zealand is long overdue an ANZ Championship crown, Corletto's convictions are based more on achieving parity on the domestic front.
Corletto's husband Daryl was a key member of the NZ Breakers' defence of their Aussie NBL title this year, after being controversially axed from the Melbourne Tigers in the preseason, and the Australian defender is determined to match the achievements of her partner.
"My husband got a premiership this year with the Breakers, so in this household it is only fair that I get one as well, surely," Corletto said with a laugh. "So far, touch wood, I have followed in his footsteps - we both finished at the top of the ladder. And hopefully on Sunday we can put the icing on the cake."
But Corletto was very close to not being a part of the Vixens campaign at all this year.
