KINGSTON - Australia today fended off a strong English challenge to take a step closer to their fourth consecutive world netball title, securing a finals berth with a 45-37 victory.
Australia had to dig deep in the second half after a spirted comeback from England, with England winning the second half 25-19.
However Australia's strong first and second quarter performance had put them comfortably ahead going into the second half with a 26-12 lead.
Australia will meet either New Zealand or home team Jamaica in the final, the second spot to be decided at 6.45pm local time (11.45am Sunday NZ time).
