Netball: Southern Sting demolish Flyers first up

The Southern Sting have started their National Bank Cup netball campaign in style.

The defending champions, who are bidding for their sixth consecutive title, thrashed the Flyers 76-29 in the competition's opening round today.

In other matches, The Force pipped the Shakers 43-42 in a thriller, while the Waikato-Bay of Plenty Magic beat the Diamonds 48-40 in Auckland.
