Auckland triathlete Kieran Doe finished second in the Eagleman half-ironman in New York yesterday.
Australian Chris Legh won in 3h 54m 15s. Doe, 24, led out of the 2km swim and was solid on the 90km bike leg, clocking 3:55.51s. Taupo's Bryan Rhodes was forced to withdraw after being hit by a jet ski while he was leading the swim leg. He was not seriously injured and swam ashore.
