Multisport: Strong squad for triathlon worlds

Hamish Carter and Bevan Docherty will lead the New Zealand triathlon team at next month's World Championships in Japan.

Carter and Docherty head the list confirmed by Triathlon New Zealand.

The Olympic medal winners join Nathan Richmond, Kris Gemmell, Shane Reed and Terenzo Bozzone in the elite men's group.

Sam Warriner heads the women's team, which includes Evelyn Williamson, Debbie Tanner and Shanelle Barrett.

A total of 29 New Zealand triathletes have been named in the squad for the worlds in Gamagori in just over weeks.
