New Zealand has missed out on hosting part of the triathlon World Cup series next year.
The final leg of this year's series will be in New Plymouth on November 12.
The International Triathlon Union has decided to take the final leg back to the Northern Hemisphere from next year. The Queensland leg of the series will be at Mooloolaba in March and Triathlon NZ hopes to stage an international event for elite athletes around that time of the year from 2008.
