Multisport: Gurney pulls plug on career

Multisport legend Steve Gurney has officially retired.

The nine-time Coast to Coast champion announced his decision today after being troubled by an ongoing ankle injury.

Gurney, 43, won numerous international titles but became best known for his domination of the annual Coast to Coast event, from the West Coast of the South Island to Christchurch.
