Hamish Carter and Bevan Docherty will this weekend have the first crack at each other since the Olympics in Athens.
The gold and silver medalists line up in the ITU World Cup race in Queensland.
Carter says now all the entries are confirmed, he knows who he is up against.
The two targets for him will be Docherty and whiz kid Terrenzo Bozzone, who have been talking up their showdown with the Olympic champion.
Carter says they are young guys who want to fire up and have a crack, and the competitiveness is something he loves.
He says he cannot wait to race Docherty again because although it is early in the season he wants to renew their rivalry.
Carter says he has been training well, but still might be a bit race rusty this weekend.
