KEY POINTS:
New Zealand's sole entrant in yesterday's triathlon World Cup event in Portugal, Terenzo Bozzone, finished well down the field in 22nd place.
The ITU-sanctioned event in Lisbon was won by Spain's Javier Gomez in 1h 52m 40s. Bozzone was 16th out of the water after the 1.5km swim and was competitive over the 40km cycle but faded in the run.
