Holden's Fabian Coulthard has posted the fastest time following the opening practice session at the V8 Supercars event in Darwin.
Coulthard, who is third in the championship standings going into the weekend, clocked a fastest lap of one minute and 10.5465 seconds to top the timesheets after the 20-minute session.
The Kiwi finished ahead of Holden's James Courtney (1:10.5760) and Jason Bright (1:10.5988) in the session, which is the first of four at Hidden Valley Raceway on Friday.
Defending V8s champion Jamie Whincup was the fourth-fastest driver in the session.
Championship leader Mark Winterbottom was the seventh fastest in a solid start to his weekend while Holden's Craig Lowndes, who'll celebrate his 40th birthday on Saturday, was 17th.
