International Motorsport's Jonny Reid and Neil Foster have claimed victory in their Audi R8 GT3 LMS in the second round of the North Island Endurance Series at Hampton Downs on Saturday.
Reid and Foster held off Trass Family Motorsport's Richard Muscat and Sam Fillmore by 1.8 seconds.
Muscat and Fillmore looked like they would claim the win in their Ferrari 458 GT3 before the IMS crew prevailed in a final half-hour battle.
"We knew that the Ferrari was going to be quick, and I didn't know whether the changes we had made were going to be good enough," Reid said.
The race was a stop-start affair thanks to a string of caution periods in treacherous conditions.
