Kiwi racer Mitch Evans has finished his first Formula E world championship race after bringing his factory Jaguar home in 17th at the second round in Marrakesh.
The 22-year-old had a mixed performance behind the wheel getting caught up in a couple of incidents that set him back.
But both he and teammate Adam Carroll managed to get their cars home to give the fledgling team some much needed data in the team's debut season in the category.
"Tough day in the office in Marrakesh," Evans said. "I had frustrating start of the race after contact with Loïc Duval which put me out of position. I then spent the rest of the race trying to recover.
"Fortunately, I managed to gain some positions before I kissed the wall towards the end of the race after a lock up when I was trying to save some energy. Luckily, there was no damage to the car.
