Kiwi race driver Mitch Evans is hoping to take another progress step at the second round of the Formula E world championship in Morocco this weekend.
Evans, who is in his first season in the category, is helping the fledgling Jaguar works team get up to speed in their debut season.
The 22-year-old Aucklander made his debut in Hong Kong last month but was forced out of the race after an electrical issue. Both he and the team gained some vital experience during practice and qualifying but they'll want to go a step further at Marrakesh this week.
"We have to be really realistic with our goals this season," Evans tells herald.co.nz. "Adam [teammate Adam Carroll] and I are both rookies and the team is brand new so we have a huge disadvantage there compared to all of the other teams.
"We are not looking at results at this stage. It is more about learning and getting up to speed.
