KEY POINTS:
New Zealand Porsche racer Craig Baird has set a new benchmark after claiming his fourth successive GT3 series title in four years.
He cleaned up the season with the weekend's final Battery Town Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge round at Invercargill's Teretonga Park circuit.
Baird, who divides his time racing here and in Australia, first won the title in 2005 - and has been repeating the feat ever since.
Queensland-based Baird ended the season 186 points ahead of Daniel Gaunt, who was in turn followed by Anthony Pedersen.
The weekend's races, however, were not Baird's for the taking, with Australian David Reynolds taking the honours for the round.
Reynolds, who was drafted in to replace America-bound Matt Halliday, qualified on pole and claimed a first, second and third place to top the round's points.
Two-time TRS champion Gaunt won the first race, cementing his position as top rookie, and was followed past the chequered flahg by Reynolds, Jody Vincent and then Baird.
In the second race, Baird was back out in front, with Rodney Forbes taking second place, followed by Reynolds.
But the 24-year-old Aussie had a runaway win in race three, followed by Baird and Gaunt.
