Formula One team Sauber has ruled out bringing back veteran driver Rubens Barrichello to the sport next season.
Team principal Monisha Kaltenborn had left the door open earlier in the week when asked about reports of Barrichello returning at the age of 41, but closed it on Saturday.
She said "I am ruling out that he would drive for us. Maybe it is better if one is that clear about it."
Barrichello tweeted earlier that "if there is an opportunity, I'm in," but Kaltenborn's statement means the Brazilian driver's hopes of a comeback now look to be at an end.
