HOCKENHEIM, Germany - The seven teams and five car manufacturers who have yet to agree to remain in Formula One beyond 2007 will present their proposals for the future of the sport to the FIA this week.
The proposal was put together in a three-hour meeting at Hockenheim on Saturday and will be forwarded to the International Automobile Federation (FIA) on Monday or Tuesday.
"We have agreed not to say anything about it," Mario Theissen, BMW's head of motorsport, said at the German Grand Prix on Sunday.
"They (the details) will be presented to the FIA and then there will be a press release which will say everything." Car manufacturers BMW, Honda, Toyota, Renault and Mercedes want more transparency and more equal treatment in the sport from 2008. They have also been working on a possible rival championship.
Ferrari, Red Bull and Jordan have already signed a new commercial agreement to govern the sport after 2008 but Renault, McLaren, Williams, Toyota, BAR, Sauber and Minardi have not.
