Formula One team Marussia has extended its contract with driver Jules Bianchi through the 2014 season.
Marussia announced Thursday, ahead of this weekend's Korean Grand Prix, that the Frenchman would be retained.
Doubts remain, however, about the future of teammate Max Chilton, with team principal John Booth saying the second driver would be announced later in the season.
Bianchi is part of the Ferrari Driver Academy and is considered one of the longer-term prospects for the Italian team, which will provide engines to Marussia next season when the sport switches to V6 turbo power.
