KEY POINTS:
Ferrari celebrated its Formula One constructor's championship by launching its fastest drop-top car.
The Scuderia Spider 16M is based on the 430 Scuderia but is 80kg lighter and powered by a 375kW, 470Nm mid-mounted 4.3-litre V8 engine. It'll accelerate from standstill to 100km/h in 3.7 seconds.
Ferrari says the Spider 16M is faster round its Fiorano test circuit than any other open-topped Ferrari road car, though it won't say by how much.
The 16M will be available with a unique "tricolore" colour scheme.
Just 499 will be built, selling above the coupe, with 10 cars to be shared between Australia and New Zealand from mid-next year.
