Holden star Jamie Whincup won his third V8 Supercar title at the season-ending race in Sydney on Sunday.
Whincup finished eighth in the race, which was won by Ford's Mark Winterbottom, to add the 2011 title to those he won in 2008 and 2009.
His team-mate and championship rival Craig Lowndes finished second in Sunday's race but it wasn't enough to beat Whincup to the title.
