Leading World Rally Championship team Volkswagen are rumoured to be withdrawing from the sport at the end of the 2016 season.
The German manufacturer has dominated the sport since its return to the world championship in 2013 - star driver Sebastien Ogier secured a fourth-straight drivers' title at the previous round in Spain while the team bagged their fourth manufacturers title at the weekend's Wales Rally GB.
Autosport magazine is reporting the team's future will be discussed at a group board meeting in Wolfsburg overnight.
Volkswagen's sister-marque Audi withdrew from the World Endurance Championship last week.
Ogier, Finn Jari-Matti Latvala and Norway's Andres Mikkelsen are currently contracted for the 2017 season with Volkswagen.
