Yamaha's Maverick Vinales topped time sheets on day two of the MotoGP pre-season test at Phillip Island yesterday.
The 22-year-old Spaniard clocked a lap of 1:28.84s to turn the tables on Honda ace Marc Marquez, who was fastest on the opening day.
Marquez, the reigning world champion, was .46s off Vinales' time on his Honda.
Aspar Ducati rider Alvaro Bautista was fourth fastest giving encouragement to Ducati fans after a disappointing opening day.
The test concludes today.
