Kiwi Supercar driver Shane van Gisbergen will be looking to create history in the final round of the Supercars championship this weekend.
Van Gisbergen heads into the Sydney 500 with a 191 point lead over nearest rival and teammate Jamie Whincup.
If all things line up van Gisbergen will become the first Kiwi to win the drivers championship since Jim Richards last won it 25 years ago.
Former Kiwi driver Paul Radisich says the championship is van Gisbergen's to lose.
Radisich says van Gisbergen would need two shocking races and to not finish to throw the title away but even that's hard to believe.
