Redemption's on the mind of Kiwi V8 driver Shane van Gisbergen in today's Bathurst 1000.
van Gisbergen ran in 21st place last year.
He says after the disappointment of that race, he's reverted back to his 2009 strategy, where he was forced to pull out after leading in the 108th lap.
The 22-year-old says after a terrible race last year, he's hoping for more success from the philosophy of two years ago.
van Gisbergen will start from fifth on the grid when the race begins at 12:30.
