KEY POINTS:
The Mark Porter Trophy, a memorial dedicated to the Hamilton driver who died after a crash at Bathurst in 2006, was unveiled in his home town yesterday.
The trophy was created by Raglan artist Tai Meuli, who spent more than four months and 600 hours carving it from pounamu.
Porter's widow, Adrienne (pictured), unveiled the trophy, which will be held in perpetuity for the winner of the Hamilton 400.
