KEY POINTS:
Planning is already underway for next year's A1GP event in Taupo and it is unlikely to be affected by financial problems at the Taupo Motorsport Park.
The park is $3 million in debt and the owners are seeking equity to help keep their business afloat. A1GP New Zealand chief Gary Dawson says those issues should not be a worry.
He says the plan is to make it bigger and better and they have already reviewed the 2008 event and started work for next year's version.
The Taupo Motorsport Park was built in 2006 at the cost of $13 million.
