Ford driver Ott Tanak has won the opening special stage of Rally Finland while Kiwi Hayden Paddon was sixth quickest.
The Estonian set the best time through the 2.31km stage on the streets of Jyväskylä - 1.1s faster than Hyundai driver Thierry Neuville.
Neuville is in a close battle with four-time world champion Sebastien Ogier in the season standings. He beat the Frenchman in Thursday night's opener by 0.4s.
"It's going to be a difficult event. The main thing is to enjoy it, stay in a close battle with Seb and finish ahead of him at the end," said Neuville.
Irishman Craig Breen was fourth fastest in his Citroen while Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) and Paddon (Hyundai) completed the top six.
