Kiwi Shane van Gisbergen and Supercars championship rival Jamie Whincup have shared pole positions for the two Sunday afternoon races at the ITM Auckland SuperSprint at Pukekohe Park Raceway.
The two Red Bull Holdens are separated by 148 championship points in the New Zealander's favour.
The 27-year-old Aucklander will start from the front row in both races - he was second behind Whincup in qualifying for race two - while his rival will start from position five in the earlier race.
Van Gisbergen bagged both pole positions for yesterday's two races.
DJR Team Penske teammates Scott Pye and Fabian Coulthard were quick - setting the second and third fastest times respectively for the first race.
