Stone Brothers Racing wants to go out with a bang in its last V8 Supercar visit to Pukekohe.
Owners Ross and Jimmy Stone hail from the area, but have never taken top honours at the round. They finished second last year.
They have won the last two drivers championships with Marcos Ambrose who blitzed the field at this year's first round in Adelaide.
Ross Stone says they need to carry on from there, but nothing is easy in V8 Supercars.
He points out that you just can not have any weaknesses or you end up in the pack, especially on a track like Pukekohe.
Stone says it is a pity to leave Pukekohe because the crowd is knowledgeable, enjoy the racing and creates a great atmosphere.
The first Supercars practice session starts at 1pm tomorrow afternoon.
